The villa is located near Tanah Lot, a famous landmark in Bali as well as beaches such as Pantai Cinta. Various outdoor activities are offered around the site, leading to a need of a place to rest. Thus the Kedungu Villa is designed as such place of rest, offering lush vegetation surrounding the building, and an interconnected private activity space. The user is lead from a wide, vibrant carport, into an outdoor pathway decorated with patterned brick, and lush rows of bamboos, embodying the spirit of Bali, and into the entrance of the villa. Inside, the space opens up into one big activity space from the kitchen, living room and the pool with wide, warm wooden deck and lush garden.
A cool and cozy communal space contrast the warm outdoor.
Light neutral color brightens up the room, and create contrast against darker colors, highlighting them to capture your attention as your eyes wander the room.
A more informal and open Modern-Mediterranean oasis opens up in the back in contrast to the more formal and stoic entry facade.
